Anjan Katta is the visionary founder behind Daylight, a groundbreaking technology
company poised to launch its first product in May. With nearly six years dedicated to
developing and bringing this technology to life, Anjan's journey began with a personal
quest for a calmer, distraction-free digital experience.
Dissatisfied with the existing e-ink products on the market, Anjan embarked on an
exhaustive six-month period of research and experimentation, seeking a solution that
would align with his vision. This phase included purchasing every e-ink product
available and exploring creative methods of printing digital content.
The quest for a viable solution led to two years of intensive research and development,
culminating in the creation of the first prototype. 2023 marked a pivotal year for
Daylight, as Anjan and his team focused on scaling the technology for production. Despite the complexities of transitioning from lab to factory, they navigated the
challenges of production scale and cost and will now be finishing up the first large-scale
production of consumer-ready tablets for the world to test out.
Anjan's motivation for founding Daylight stems from his personal struggles with the
physical and mental health impacts of conventional computer use. Driven by a vision to
create a healthier, more humane computing ecosystem, Daylight embodies Anjan's belief
