Here is a guide on how to reset the DC-1 if you’ve lost your password. IMPORTANT - you will lose all of your data, so make sure to back-up your desired files and data.
- Turn off the device. When your DC-1 powers off, press and hold the power button and volume-up button simultaneously.
- Use the volume-up button to direct the arrow cursor to “Recovery Mode” and use the volume-down button to confirm selection.
- On the “no command” screen, hold power-button and volume-up button simultaneously for 3 seconds (no more; no less).
- This step may be tricky - it’s ok if you have to try a few times.
- To navigate Android Recovery menu, use volume-up/down to scroll up and down and use power-button to confirm selection:
- “Wipe Data/Factory Reset”
- “Factory data reset”
- “Reboot System Now”
Things to note when resetting the DC-1:
- Once the DC-1 resets and powers on again:
- Press “Start,” then “Start” again (only press start twice)
- A prompt will come up; DO NOT touch the device as automations will start
- After automation completes the DC-1 will shut itself off
- Once the device powers off, hold the power button to power on the DC-1
- You can now continue your DC-1 experience ☀️
