The Kids Software
Internet:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen
- Select “Internet” & select your desired network
- Once connected, tap next
Parental Controls:
(Long-press to open parental controls)
Create password:
- Choose 4 digits to create a pin
- Re-enter your 4 digit pin to confirm
App List (Tab):
- On the right side of the screen, access your apps. Scroll down to view different apps
- Age Categories - 3-5, 6-8, 9-12
Reorder apps:
- Drag and swipe to place your apps
- Press the minus (-) symbol to remove apps from your home screen
- Press the star (☆) symbol to add apps to your home screen
Safety Settings:
- Toggle Switches (off/on)
- Block mature content
- Block adds and trackers
- Block social media
Complete Parent Controls:
- Select top right lock (🔒) icon once you are ready
Using the DC-1:
Drop down menu:
- Screen brightness (top slider)
- Amber brightness (bottom slider)
- Access internet
- Auto-rotate on and off
Gestures:
- Swipe up to return home
- Half swipe to see open apps
- Swipe from the left to go to your previous screen

How to Reset Your Parental Passcode
You’ll need the parental passcode to swap out apps, to turn parental controls off, and to access the settings. If you forget your parental passcode, please follow these instructions. Reminder - this is different from your device password. If you forget that, you’ll need to do a factory reset.

The Daylight Computer should update automatically. But if you wish to make sure you are on the most up-to-date software build, you can update manually. Here’s how:
